The American Family has changed over the years. We are a society that races toward the future. The family is constantly on the go. We live in a fast paced society, where little time is left for the family. We immerse our selves in modern technology and leave little time for grandma or aunts and uncles or even time to smell the roses Family members can bring both happiness and pain. From the beginning of time families have had to deal with both these issues and knowing things can change at any time.

The family structure at one time was dominated by a household which consisted of a father , who was considered the head of the family unit. A mother who tended to the household chores, raising the children and caring for the husband. Times have changed, now a days many families have only one parent trying to do it all. How this will affect those that have ben raised this way, only time will tell.
